Dry Life

Scanning some of my old film stock, I came across this image taken more than 20 years ago as a simple still-life exercise. Probably the thing I miss most about that old technology is the traditional 1.25 aspect ratio. For me, the epitome of photography is the 8×10 inch print, particularly if it is a black-and-white image on a gelatin silver fiber-based paper.
