Towers in the Rain

JR Central TowersPhotographing at night, or in inclement weather, presents numerous challenges. However, the city, at night and in the rain, is different. The many electric lights provide colorful illumination. Rain-slick streets and sidewalks, that would otherwise be dark, reflect color. The moisture in the sky reflects and diffuses light to add atmosphere. In the city, there are also many entryways, awnings, etc., that provide shelter from the rain, however this photo was taken from underneath an umbrella.
The building here is the JR Central Towers, which houses JR Nagoya Station, as well as a major hotel, a departments store, and numerous other shops and offices.
